The First Texas Outsider Race was in 2004 at the FE Nats in Noble, OK. While a Ford Event, Mark Artis and Dan Bell negotiated with them to run all makes in the NSS and NMC Classes. It was the first time I’d ever run NSS (black 65 Coronet, now the Thug) and the first time Dallas Schultz (White Demon) ever ran NMC. I lost in the Semis to Jason Billips, who lost to Clay. Dallas won in NMC against Tony Malone’s Cougar. Dallas also won the events Reaction Time Trophy with a .001. Many of the participants from 19 years ago are no longer with us. If you are friends of anyone in photographed, forward to them.
