This is the transmission that was in my old 8-second tube chassis Barracuda. When I bought the car the seller told me that he'd just freshened the motor and trans. We pulled the oil pan and caps off the motor and that was truth. Jerry disassembled and inspected this trans and it too looks fresh. It has a Cheatah Transbrake valve body, bolt in sprag, and Kevlar clutches. However the front drum is not billit - which is crazy for 8-second car with 17" rear tires doing 300' wheel stands.
This is a great transmission for an 11-Second car, but I'd add a billit drum if you're going faster.
I want $950, but don't have the ability to crate. I'll bring to a NMCA race if prepaid. There are many car transporters who will pick up and deliver. I've wrapped in plastic film if you know someone heading to Houston. I'm going to Ft. Worth next month and Dequincy, LA in January if that helps.
I have the matching 8" converter (looks like an ATI) that I'll list separately. That said, this was a True Street car that is driven at 55mph for 30 miles, filled up with 123 octane and the NOS turned on for three back to back to back 8-second passes on the transbrake. I'm not going know where it stalls or flashes.
