I'm nursing a bad hip from my little wreck. I was given a 5-day steroid dose pack to reduce inflammation in the joints and told to stay off my feet for five days.

I think I can still make the Rockingham race, but most likely in the Vitamin C this time.

While I wasn't told to not race, the doctor suggested I skip this one. A compromise is a less violent car, also one that also doesn't require as much maintenance at the track. I still need to pick the front brake hubs from machine shop, attach the rotors, and reinstall on the car. I also need to install a new dampener and reinstall the radiator and trans cooler that I had to remove to get to it. Finally, I need to change the 625 cfm carbs back to 750cfm. All needs to be done by Monday morning so I can load and leave Monday afternoon.

All of that said, I will see that this discussion stays updated, even if my hip doesn't get to where I can tolerate the pain and were to miss the race.

It sure would be nice if others attending the race would participate with posting qualifying standings, the ladder, photos and updates. I don't intend to give up getting other Racers to participate with making this site the one-stop place for all information regarding NSS, NMC, Stock & Super Stock.

Build it and they will come - just not as fast as I had hoped.

Loaded up this morning, got on the road at noon, drove about 450 miles before dropping anchor on the LA/MS border. I'll drive about another 600 miles tomorrow before finding a Walmart for groceries and we should pull into the track Wednesday afternoon.

We made it to Thomson, Ga - which is about 215 miles from the track. Staying at a Walmart. Will sleep in leave at about 10am.

The inverter crapped out on the Generator, so I has been on since we left, and need to be on until we get back if I can't figure out a fix.
Also lost my cruise control. Cruise on a motorhome pulling a trailer in hilly country us a must, especially if you have gout.
          I hate this coach!

Made it to Rockingham at about 2:30, established Credentials, tech'd in the Vitamin C, candid some visiting.

Lot's of Motorhome drama getting here. My steering Tag axle decided to steer at highway speed around a curve. Scared the shit out of me. I stopped and turned ignition off and on and started to get all kinds of diagnostics about laser align. Got those messages again this morning as I left the Walmart we dropped anchor at. Had Antilock brake error yesterday, which caused CMS (Collision Management System) to not allow the cruise control to be used. Pulling a big trailer 600 miles without Cruise is a PITA, especially when you have a bad case of Gout. One of the inverters crapped out, so the Generator has to be left on 24/7 or no fridge. Good thing I just changed the oil, fuel filter and air filter. Looks like I might need to change the oil again before we head home. I absolutely hate this coach. The real problem is south Michigan and North Indiana where these are made encouraged people to stay home. That caused manufactures to hire rookies to build them. That combine with supply chain problems off crap parts available has virtually every make of motorhome being built in 2020-2023 (and most likely 2024) to be shit.

First time trial was about 3 hours ago. Track has been down for a while. Not sure why. I haven't done a car count, but looks to be a pretty good one.

We are currently in a rain delay this morning. The sprinkling stopped and they're working on the track.

The track station (for those here and didn't know) is 100.5
